The best way to cheer yourself up is to try to cheer somebody else up
~ Mark Twain
Come on, let’s get real. We don’t need Mark Twain to remind us that. It is common sense!
Yet, as humans, we always forget. Funny, innit?
When was the last time you made someone happy?
Hm, as for me, well.. Let’s see…
Today, I went out with a friend of mine. We have been friends for more than 8 years now. I think I’ve made my friend a happy person today. We went out shopping!
Kidding! Nah, not just shopping. Let me rephrase. Shopping wasn’t the only thing that made us happy.
We’ve spent time together, hang out and talked about what’s happening around us. We gave each other advice and ideas. In that limited time today, we made each other happy.
My point is, call your friends or family and try to spend some time with them. Just talk and hang out. Picnic, travel.. Or maybe, go shopping!
Did you know that Malaysians spent an average 2hours per day shopping to release their stress? According to a local newspaper that I read today.
Validity of the study? I don’t know.
Maybe you can try take them out shopping to make them happy. If it works, then you and your friends/family are definitely part of the stats, haha…
Seriously, if you really want to make someone happy, just be nice and smile. Throw a few jokes around. Be compassionate. Small things like that.
Just because you’re having a bad day, doesn’t mean that the world has too.
I’m sure a lot of people will appreciate that. A lot of people will appreciate your good wishes and a little kindness/concern.
“Have a good day ahead”
or;
“How are you?”
Good night and have a good week ahead.
