I have been away the whole week; not traveling nor having fun but staying in bed recuperating from flu.

No worries, it’s not swine flu. I think.

It all started on Sunday when I was feeling a bit weird and uncomfortable.

Then Monday came and I was feeling feverish, with sore throat and my head was throbbing. How can anyone feels hot and cold at the same time? Hm, this could be another interpretation of Katy Perry’s song…

Despite all that I continue with my Monday rituals, watching Star World from 8pm onwards for my Monday Night Laughs. Hey, they say ‘laughter is the best medicine’ right?

On Tuesday, all the laughing didn’t help that much. Runny nose, cough, sore throat, fever and I was dang tired all the time.

I read from somewhere that the human body generates its own antibody whenever we fell ill. So I thought,

“Hey, that’s cool! I should let my body do that” Naturally.

I’m sure Early Homo Sapiens did that and they survived!

Wednesday morning; I felt worse. I’ve been drinking a lot of plain water and juices (for the vitamin C).

Wednesday evening; I took Panadol Soluble. To heelll with fighting the natural way!

Thursday; everyone who called me thought they got the wrong number. My voice has changed drastically. By this time, I had 3 Panadol Solubles and a quarter bottle of cough syrup.

Today; I got better and then worse and then better. It’s like my flu is playing with me. I was coughing so much that my stomach muscles hurt.

Lesson of the week:
I have learned how to smile instead of laughing when I’m sick
Yes, I am ill but at least I am not out and about, spreading my flu virus! Now that’s responsible! So, if you’re sick, stay in!
Sometimes the natural way is not so natural anyway. Letting your body suffer is not natural, people!
For those of you who are healthy, wash your hands regularly and if possible, get a flu vaccine or something. Being sick is not fun at all, unless you want to be sick and away from people but that’s a different story.
