I have checked the results. The one that I’ve been waiting for months.
I had Australia’s Outback and images of kangaroos hopping around; in my head for a while now. Tehehe…
I typed my ID and clicked ‘SUBMIT’, the next page immediately appeared with a big
‘TIDAK BERJAYA’…
Suddenly, the images of Australia’s Outback and kangaroos changed to ‘Orang Utan‘; which was not that bad.
“What?! Where am I?… Uh, back to Malaysia”
Of course I am disappointed. Like duh! That is how you feel when your dreams are shattered to the ground. Fortunately, I am blessed with the ability to feel disappointed for only 10 minutes.
Disappointment is like the rain. When you stand in the rain without an umbrella, you would get all wet but when the rain stops, you’ll get dry; eventually…

Unless if you’re standing in the rain when it’s -10degrees. Oh wait, in that kinda weather it wouldn’t rain, it would snow instead.
Point is, don’t fret being wet or dry. People face disappointments all the time. Just remember not to cling to the disappointment for too long.
Don’t forget that whenever we get wet (from the rain or worse, being pushed into the swimming pool by a drunk friend), we can always dry ourselves with a towel or hair dryer.

There’s no need to be cranky if you’re wet. Once you’re in the pool, just enjoy it, swim! or just have fun standing in the rain.
Same goes to that awful feeling of disappointment. All you need to do is to embrace the feelings and then let go. Move on.
I guess Australia/Canada is now in my 2011/12 plan instead. (I just added Canada today; as a back up plan, in case Australia is off again!)
Like I used to say to myself, quoting from Heidi;
“People can say NO to you but you don’t say NO to yourself”
